Word is, they are broke and cannot make a deal with hyperion to get new product.

Not surprised, cells were nothing special and lots of disappointed fliers at our club can vouch for that.
Simply refused to honour the warranty with overpriced cells.

    Past punters never forget..

Seems like the 25c stuff was solid, the 30c seems to like to be over 100f to perform well.

I have heard alot of stuff about the eon series stuff, 28c and 33c, nothing good though...

The G3 lipos seem to be the best bet right now, price vs quality. And the tp 40c cells are billed as the best, from the data I have seen I do not doubt it.

I am thinking of swapping over to the G3 packs myself. I have alot of polyquest and fp 25c and 30c packs now, never had any issues with them. But the discharge info I have seen of the G3 packs makes them too good to pass up. I mainly run 1/8 scale car/truck, but I can really see the benefit with the boats, as the amp draw is much higher.

Sucks that they could not keep their business in line... It happens.

I just heard that FP was sold to Tower Hobbies, which is a joke, FP was never anything to begin with. Anyone can be a distributor of any of these packs if you have $50k or something, your in. FP was nothing but Enerland cells with shrink wrap saying Flight Power.

It's a joke that they sold it to Tower, it was worth nothing at all.

Oh man... now their quality is really going to take off... j/k
I had some problems with PolyRc but thought the other cells
were on top of their game... but then again, I saw the signs,
some "rats" were leaving the ship.

PolyRC was the first enerland distributor.....Pat does quality work, I was the one that got him started selling LiPoly. Enerland asked me first. Ask Pat if you don't believe it.

Flightpower bought bare cells from Enerland and assembled them into packs in a plant in Malaysia. They were not just another little importer of repackaged packs! They are out of England.
Flightpower did not sell out to Tower. They gave Great Planes exclusive distributorship and screwed over their existing dealer base, making us by from Hobbico (great planes, tower, all the same thing). So we dropped Flightpower. We're looking for a new battery company now.

I have been running 4S EON 4400/28C MarinePower packs for about 6 months in my P Sport Hydro and they perform great. This is a 150-amp setup and it demands a lot from the packs. Are the EONs any better than the EVO 30C packs? Can't say that they are any better, but they certainly aren't any worse.

Steve, I have dealt with Pat in many occasions, he's very nice guy, I am not
trying to put down his work, I am just saying that I have had problems with a couple of packs... I actually do like them, they are strong packs... someone that
says that they never had battery problems is a very lucky person.
Everybody has gotten into some battery problem at some point,
I remember vividly that people were all goggly eyes over what Enerland cells
were doing to their boats... it's a pity people are complaining about the same cells now.
I do worry a bit where the Enerland cells' quality is going to end up, I hope they strike a deal with a good biz partner soon before is too late.

am I the only one that feels that way?

                              I found this here... http://netforbeginners.about.com/od/.../whatisFTW.htm

"While there were nastier meanings in previous years, FTW today commonly stands for "For the Win". It is an expression of enthusiasm. "FTW" is the same as saying "this is the best" or "this item will make a big difference, I recommend using it"
