Marlin rtr

Marlin.jpg

Hello forum

i have purchased these RTR boats for my kids. the motor couper keeps striping the hex screws and today we ran for 20 sec and the boats where stranded in the water spinign there motor helplessly.

i want to upgrade the coupler from the cheapy aluminum in these units.

also anyone have an idea how to make a converter that would alow me to put 3/16 drivedog props on this boat.

the motor shaft and the prop shaft are 3mm or 1/8, to close to call not great manufacturing tolerances

it run realy nice on 8.4 but the boat twisted to the right.

its realy nice running on 7.2 but the 8.4 makes it FUN!!!!!

please help

have you tried making a flat spot on the motor shaft and the prop shaft so the hex sits in a flat spot? that is usually what's done.
:::::::::::::::. It's NEVER fast enough! .:::::::::::::::
