    Rhino 3S 3700Mah plugs.

Just orderd some new lipos from HK, a couple of Rhino 3700Mah 2S and 3S. Thinking about changing from Deans to the plugs that are on the Rhinos, but cant find them, because i dont know what they are called.

Also is there any adapters from deans to the one that is on the Rhino's, the wires on the rhinos are damn large and hard to solder on the small deans.

    Thnx

I think they are 5 mm bullets.

Looking at the specs. I don't see a listing for the connector. So they might be bare wire. The 4900 mah 2s have 5 mm bullets.

If they are single bullet connectors they are likely 5mm as stated on the rest of their Rhino Packs.

Well then that makes what..... 3 or 4 different connector types on their entire range.
I actually liked it when they came with no connector whatsoever so I could just use my standard 6mm or Deans without having to cut off/waste whatever they chose that day.

Have to agree. I also hate the oversized wires aswell. They have been using 10AWG wires on this packs, and IMO its damn hard to get a good solder on deans with this large wires.

Or am i underestimating this packs?

It is very hard. The way I did it was to cut off the connectors. Removed 1/8" insulation. Then snipped a few strands off. Then applied solder to that and the deans. Then hold the wire to the deans and solder till it flow from the wire to the deans. It's a good strong shiney connection. The deans tab fills in the space of wires that I snipped off. It is a pain, but works.

Yea, think i will get some help from my father to do this, dont want to mess up this packs.

I just did my packs. Make sure you use a 40 watt or higher soldering iron.

                          Trimming Rhino wires

Rhinos and some other packs come with 10 gauge wires and bullets that I have replaced with Dean's stlye plugs. NEVER cut both wires at the same time! After cutting off the red plug and stripping the end I used the wire stripper setting for 14 gauge to thin the conductors to something managable, as previously posted. I found that an 80 or 100 watt soldering iron was needed though. Completely saturate the wire with solder. Tin the Dean's. Flatten the wire with heavy pliers, vice or crimping tool. Now solder the flat face to the tip. You did remember to put the heatshrink on first, didn't you? Shrink. Repeat for black.
None of this is original. Compiled from many other posts.
