    8s2p cat

What are the different setups people are using for cats using 8s2p LiPos? I plan on using 4x 4s Hyperion 3300 mah 35C packs.

thats 22.2 assuming you run 6s2p. How do you guys get away with that kind of voltage? do those brushless motors take any thing you can throw at them? I see you are online ozzie, It's 11:30 pm here in Calif, what time do you have in Aus.? P.S. Can you send me a Koala Bear, the wife would love one and so would I!!!

its 4.35 pm here. koala is in the post
with voltage generally speaking if you run higher volts lower kv motor the less amps you draw.

I'm just starting to learn about brushless but volts seem like the kicker, you can only go so high before you exceed the limits of the motor, I.E don't you need a motor that can handle 30 volts when using 22.2? Thanks for the Koala, do I need to trim it"s claws?

just to give you a rough idea what i mean.
              take a 8xl (2084kv) on 4s with a x440 prop, would pull around 80-90 amps with a speed say around 40-45 mph
now run a 14xl (1191kv) on 6s with a x445 amps would be around 15-20 amps less but speed around the same. this may not be 100% correct but you get the idea

I also use the 3300 packs in my rigger they are the only packs that will fit.
