Hmm the 3026 1900kv might be nice in my 4s Whiplash next season. For $70 its worth a try, does anyonw know if the Scorpion has the same bolt pattern as the Neu 1515?

I assume you're running more than 4S in the Whip; Jan can chime in & help ( my experience is limited to 4S); He's running one of the 4000 series in his 1/8 scale on 8S & 10S; 1/2 throttle wheelies !!

I like the idea of that large outrunner in a 42" Dolphin hydro on 10s.
Ray, they are MORE efficient then the inrunners in general, there are exceptions as always...
as far as heat goes, they are rated for 350 (at least some) but I would NEVER ever run them to even 200F purposely... why do it?

Scorpion motor a better choice since the shaft can be replace which is what I like. It can be rewind again if I want it to be cooler. 4035 seem to be great also

I think the Scorpion HK-4020-1390 would be a nice addition to your collection.

What would be a Scorpion equivalent to say a F580 6L or 7L for use with 4S and 5S?

The motors being used are the Helicopter motors with the built in fan. I'm not sure there are that many different sizes in them. When you get up into the bigger stuff, it's a normal fixed wing aircraft outrunner without the fan. Cooling could be an issue.

Unless they've been changed, the Neu 15-series have a standard 25mm pattern...

Not to take away from Scorpion or this thread but now you have me looking at these but this one looks decent and price alone.
