    The dreaded electrical "Crack"

    I know i read this somewhere but what can be done to eliminate that loud electical connection crack sound when you connect your batteries to your controller.
    PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash
    H&M 1/8 Miss Bud 73 mph

      Thank you domwilson......I will head over to Radio Shack soon. This has now become a big problem with my better batteries. I try and connect them as fast as possible and cringe every time because of that crack/ spark and i know its not good. Problem solved, thanks again.

        Also check out post #65 same thread as above, I use this one to eliminate the extra wires. Either one will work.

            Check with your esc manufacturer before using a charge setup like that. I know that some of the castle creations car escs can be damaged using one of those... Patrick (owner of CC) posted this info over at the rcm forums...

              What makes you think that the noise is "not good"? It does no harm as long as you are careful not to touch the plugs together where they make normal contact; this can damage the connecting surfaces. And unless you can move as fast as the speed of light you'll always get some crack. Be careful about workarounds, as stated above they can cause far more damage than they "solve".

                Your right...I called Castle and they said thats not a problem, just make the connection quickly,which i always do. Hey what do i know,it doesent look or sound good to me and i thought it was just to abrupt of a connection for the ESC. Always Learning!!!
