If it's running wet, it's most likely the CG. Try adding a little weight inside the rear of the tub. Won't take much! Some of those stick on weights. That will increase the AOA hopefully.

So I ran it tonight, dropped in a 10xl from my buggy, and ran an x637 prop to try and keep temps down with the higher kv motor. Strut lowered, and it reached 41.8 mph. Motor was without cooling so it was hot, only ran for 1 minute 20 seconds then brought it in. shifted the smaller lipos towards the motor, by piggybacking them...didn't look great when taping down the hatch..but I am testing, and that is more important then looks, or sleakness. Seems the lower strut makes it tear out of the water..and corner like mad, but it is still seems like it is pushing water at the front sponsons. ....adding weight to the rear is my next thing to try. maybe it will raise the AOA, maybe not. more to come. Soo far, my zippys are keeping voltage no problem, under load....now that I have the esc issues taken care of (I hope for good) I am dealing with a new issue...pushing water with the front...due to my 5000 mah lipos...not much room for adjustments in this hull.
