    EOS0610iDUO help

I purchased this charger almost a year ago and am now just trying to get it to
    go.

Only problem is, I cant get it to work.

The Hyperion instructions are gibberish to me, and I see nothing helpful at thier
    website.

All I want is to be able to charge my lipo packs without the need of a Vulcan
    mind meld.

I am on the original firmware because of their warning that if you screw up,
    you own a brick.

Are there links to user guides, videos, anything?

    And before you say it...

    Yes, I am an idiot.

    LOL.

I plugged in my batteries and taps and tried to get the thing to start to charge, but I have
no idea if I am doing it right, and pushing the ENTER key did nothing, no charge.
The menu is a POS if you ask me.Really, if you switch between port 1 and 2
wouldn't you expect to see the same info screen?
What am I missing here. This was supposed to be" THE LIPO CHARGER!"

What would be a better charger?

I've played with some of the other chargers out there. This one is real easy.

1 and 2 ports are independent of eachother.

Plug in the packs. Use the up and down button to see the selected options. If you want to change an option, hit enter than scroll up and down to change the options. Hit enter again to accept the option. When you are done picking options. hold the enter button to enter the charge mode.

Thats what I did, no joy!
Couldn't find the "automatic" setting they talk about in the manual ether.
Has anyone done a help video, or anything on these Hyperion chargers?
I see allot of post's about Hyperion's on line. Some are good, some are
          bad.

Anyone have an idea for a good U.S. made Lipo charger?

Not really sure why or how that is gibberish to you. Read Pg 2, follow the instructions line by line and its as easy as it gets. Once you have all your cells set to memory all you have to do is hit the enter key (Memory will flash) hit the down or up key until you find the memory slot that the battery you want to charge is in and then hold down enter. THe charger will then ask you to confirm that you are using the right amount of cells (if you plug in a 2s pack it will ask 2s...correct?) then just hold down the enter key again. It took me all of 15 min to set all my cells in the memory and 10 seconds to charge any one of my packs.

If you are not good with following instructions I would stay away from updating the charger and either find someone that is or take it to your local hobby shop and see if they can do it for you. If you are still having a problem I will upload a programming vid on youtube for you.

I did get it to work, and I'm embarrassed to say what I was doing wrong.
It is a very nice charger once you READ and UNDERSTAND the directions.
Not just try to plug things in an wing it as I did, after a few libations. LOL
My packs are now stored in memory like they should have been, and
                charged to store mode .
One question though , in Ni-MH mode, what is the difference between
                auto and normal mode?
Setting up the USB port for the firmware up-date was easy, but still havent
actually done the full up-date yet.
                Is it worthwhile?

In Nimh normal mode will charge at whatever rate you set. in Auto mode the charger will determine the best charge rate for the cells.
I think the Update is def worth while and the Manufacturer recommends that you update whenever possible.

I love my DUO. Like you said, once you read and understand the menus, it's a super powerful charger. When you get into lipos, make sure you REALLY understand the menus, as lipos are not as forgiving as NIMH packs.

And as said above, the firmware update is recommended. The latest one kicks the fans on at a lower temp, helping long term survival.
