[Foreword : This post probably won't be of much interest, but I have to report on a splendid morning at the lake anyhow]. After , in the last month, losing my job,a place to live, burning up 2 Neu 1515 1Y's, 2 AQ UL-1 motors, one Hydra 240 and one servo, losing one 2-lap record {and my new camcorder} and setting another , I finally got settled in to my new place & got some water time. This morning the lake was smooth despite some winds on the coast, NO gassers were there churning up the water & I had the place to myself. The H&M Shovel with a replacement 1515 1Y [ new twisted stator design] rocked in the mid-sixties. The UL-1 with the SV-27motor & packs in the sponsons heat race setup ran steady, the VS-1/UL-1 motor'd tunnel, with new mounting hardware and servo [ both of which which tried to self-destruct after witnessing Brian's tunnel set a smokin' 2-lap record] was faster than ever, and the DF 33 with a 1521 1.5D 2-lap setup was pushin' [not quite] sixty with a SB&C 447/3 I somewhat nervously did myself. Four boats, four picture-perfect runs, and the only thing(s) I had to reach into my toolbox to get was the hockey tape & scissors. Not pushing my luck, I packed up & smiled all the way home.
