Man Drowns Swimming after RC Boat...

Just another stark reminder of why you should take the utmost precaution when trying to retrieve your RC boat...

At least throw on a lifevest or something if you are going to take the chance of swimming after it...

Andy K just emailed that link to me. Its a shame things like that happen. It could have easily been prevented.

What a devistaing event. We invest so much time and effort into our models that we are compeled to try and save them. This has opened my eyes. I would rather pay a diver to retrieve my boat..than have one retrive me. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

definately no good.. sorry to his family and loved ones... i wonder what happened ??? maybe he couldn t swim... seems strange, i d be curious as to the full details... i swim after my boat pretty often... more often than not... there are always drowning around here, one just last week down the road where a guy tried to swim across a pretty narrow river... less than 100'... my guess is that lots of these folk can t swim and before they know it they are in trouble... panic sets in and the rest is history... please, if you go swimming after ya boat, make sure you know HOW to swim...
