Hello and welcome I ran my OM 26 with a watercooled CC80 and a Faigao 8XL with 12 NIMH's. Because the CC80 limits the amps using the 8XL, keep the prop small; I think IIRC I used a Prather P 215. Boat ripped & was fun ! Running 4S lipo would work too but keep some weight in the setup. That boat corners like a bobsled; Randy did good with the OM designs for sure.

I've been running my OM26 for years. First with a 700, then an 8XL (both on 12 cells), and now a Proboat motor on 4S. I love my OM26!! It rips with the PB motor and 4S, I had to add lead to keep it on the water!

With 12 cells on the 8XL I ran an X442 and a Grimracer 40-something 3 blader (basically a 440/3). With 14 cells, I'd probably get a 9XL, and that will also work great when you go to lipo. An 42mm prop would be a good starting point.
