      Saber

The design of the Etti Saber appears to be quite similar to the Hopf Godzilla M1.

Here is a pic of the Hopf for comparison:

I am running this hull, the ETTI Saber

          Pros:

          stiff carbon fiber structure
flood chamber for a much more convinient ride.
          Cool look
solid piano wire drive running in a carbon fiber tube. Dual bearing at the output end.
Decent build quality, the hatch fits well onto the hull body.

          Cons:

Carbon fiber shields RF signal, my Saber has to have a small tail for the 2.4G antenna. My other glass fiber hulls have no visible antenna and are very reliable.

Right turn ONLY. no turn fin on left side because of the flood chamber and rudder position Left turn is painfully unstable and has large turning radius.

Long/thin piano wire has no brace, making it vibrate hardly. I add bearings inside the carbon tube to solve this issue.

Bearings always get stained and locked, need to be replaced regularly.

Tends to fly when speed reach 60+ km/h

fixed drive tube makes the prop thrust angle unchangeable.

            Saber from Belgium :

            Axle 4mm offset
Lenght of drive outside hull : 65mm
When boat is placed on flat surface , there's 2mm " air " under the end of the drive.
btw : this is the boat in the video on the other topic about the saber.

Excellent and thanks! And is the 4mm drive offset to starboard to compensate for prop walk?
