Hi model esc cooling?

Ive cooled two hi model 200 amp esc's with old burnt cooling plates from leftover esc's. Im looking for a cooling plate i can purchase that will fit the hi model 200 a. Esc . Can anyone give me a link ?as i need 4 of them..

I cool my HM or Mystery esc's like this.
Take the cooling plate with fins and cut the two outside fins off the plate, you now have a nice right-angle in which you can fit 7/32 K&S square brass tube. In the ends of the brass square you solder 3/16 round tube.
Now you have two parallel cooling bars.
Run a short length of fuel line across two ends and the other two are the in and out lines.

perfect guys ordered 3.. the hi model fetts are 40mmx35mm , should work perfect....

duh.. i cant believe i didnt think of this... i did a similar cooling design for my sentilions.... thankyou!! ill do this and have extra cooling plates on hand... im looking up arctic silver compound as refered by a friend as an excelent elect. compound..

i stopped water cooling mine as i had trouble with cooler leaking havent blown one up since

no kidding!!! my set up is pretty hot and i better water cool it.. im also thinking of lapping the heat sink...

I have done that myself but the problem is the FETs. They are not flat on top so you must flatten / lap them.

Lapping the HS or sanding the FETs is one way to go, Another is to either reduce current draw or increase esc size.

Current draw can be reduced by many ways. Some are mimimal some are very effective.
Upping ESC size is only done with $$ and I of all people know that is not always attractive.

If you are comfortable with the dodgy cooling method I have posted and it sounds like you have tried then go hard.

a lot depends on run time i suppose as i only run for around 2 minutes. have pulled some decent amps out of these not water cooled,

no i agree and had planned on lapping the fetts as well , theyre hardly flat on the hi models... i have cc 240's being repaired/ warentied but thats another story.. ill try the himodels first with lapped heatsinks/ fetts and some good compound. oh and the cooling on the ends...

The square tubes on the plate,
It read like you had tried that on your sentilions.
If I got that wrong then please accept my apologies.

I like the lower cost ESC and keep the Amp draw well below what the packet says.

really good to know! im gonna have too much $$ in this hull to have it smell for the remander of its wetness..
