    Need help on props!!!!

    OK GUYS, IM ON THE TAIL END OF MY MARITIMO TWIN BUILD AND NEED EXPERTIES ON PROPS. IM GONNA HAVE EITHER CDMI OR EGNEG DO THEM FOR ME, HEARD GOOD THING FROM BOTH! I NEED SOMEWHERE GOOD TO START AND DONT WANT TO DO THE GUESSING MYSELF SO PLEASE HELP! THE H & M MARITIMO IS EXTREAMLY REINFORCED WITH ALOT OF C.F. IT WEIGHS (READY TO RUN W/ BATS..) APP. 14 LBS AND HAS TWIN 1515 1.5 D'S AND TWIN CC HYDRA NON HV 240'S WITH .187 FLEX'S W/ 3/16 SHAFTS. I HAVE A SET OF R&L X440'S? BUT ID LIKE THE SAME SHAPER TO DO BOTH AS THEYSE ARENT THE SAME.. PLEASE SUGGESTIONS ARE NEEDED. I.E. DE TOUNGED, BACK CUT SIZE ECT... HELP!!!       Hi Wolf IV

      I'm no expert but have spent some time experimenting with my twin Jolly.

      Your 1515 1.5D motors are 2700KV so will be pulling lots of rpm even on 4S ( 39960 no load and maybe still 30000 under load ) so you don't want to go too large in prop, but IMO the 40mm props will be too small in diameter to push a hull of that size. At the very least you will have lots of cavitation at start up.
      My Jolly runs fine on a pair of r/h and l/h X442 props which, other than sharpening and ballancing, are stock standard. The Ammo motors I am using are 2300KV and on 4S only pull 50 amps each according to my Eagle Tree.
      Your 1515s will pull more ampage than the Ammos because of the higher KV but they should handle it fine.
