    Series or Parallel Connection

Hi, I just went to lipos and totally confused. Presently I run 2X2S1P 25C 5000 MAH
7.4V in series. That translates to 14.8 volts and still 5000MAH. If I connect in parallel
I would get only 7.4V and 10000MAH, Parallel would give me less speed but more
run time. In series then I would get more speed and less run time. Am I correct and
which is the best way to go. Help and Thanks

If you are currently running your packs in series (4s1p), and the boat runs well, and you change to a parallel configuration (2s2p), the rpm's will be cut in half.
I suspect that would be too much reduction in speed.
What motor and esc are you using?

      Series or Parallel

Hi RMZ Daddy. The Titan uses an SV motor/Esc and the Cat uses a UL-1 motor/Esc.
      Thanks

You want to run them at the 14.8 you are at now. If you can run two 4s packs(14.8) in parallel. You will double your Mah and put less strain on the packs.

I would keep the packs in series then.
Although I don't run either of those motor/esc combos, I don't believe they are intended to run on 2s.
Maybe some SV/Ul-1 owners will confirm that for you.
          Hope this helped

You are correct in all your voltage and amperage evaluations. What boat,ESC and prop???

For that combo in series. As you will have low voltage cut off problems on the standard ESC's
