I ran that motor on 3s in a Delta Force mini Vortex hydro. Totally overkill, but sooo much fun!

      Hey Ryan!

That Delta Force mini Vortex Hydro is a cool looking boat! I wish Steven had some in stock! I bought the 380 8L hoping to put it in my Mini Cat Racing Hydro, but Steven suggested that I run that motor with a higher amp ESC (70 amp) than the stock one in the Mini Cat Hydro (which is only 30 amp)...so I thought about getting an ETTI Navy 70 and possibly adding another mini boat to my ongoing collection. I think I will just leave the mini cat Hydro stock for now. I'm running the Hydro while my Renegade Rigger cools off between runs.

I love the small Jaw dropper boats with Kick A#! BL/ lipo power!

What else do you guys out there run with the 380 8L/ 70 amp power combo?

I ran mine with a Hobbywing Seaking 60 amp esc with no problems. I did at one point upgrade a minicat racing micro hydro with an x-power 380l and seaking esc and it was ridiculously fast. Those renegades are awesome little boats. I wish I had one!
