      Nate.

I found your topic about your SS21.
      And replied :-)

If I didn't already have 2 huge walletsucking boats, I would have liked to buy and build a SS21 or SS45.

Just wanted to say that I received one of these hulls today and it seems OK.I will say that the tunnel floor is a bit flimsy even though it appears to be reinforced with some sort of wood (??) hard to tell as the wood (??) is part of the layup and beneath a layer of glass.I've already reinforced this area with a layer of 5.7 oz CF cloth.
Apparently made of epoxy glass lay up as advertised and not polyester glass as is the norm for these cheapy hulls. sure smells like epoxy vs polyester anyway .

I plan on using a 540 8 or 9 XL along with 4s 5000 mah lipos for motivation.

I thought that looked kind of familiar...

The Etti Saber does, however, appear "quite similar" to the Hopf Godzilla M1:

all of the boats posted here are awsome , i think taking a boat that you get rtr and turning it into what you want is just part of the quest ! of course there is no substitution for building from the molded or cut frame up but most newbies like me have no idea what we want to really do because we havent been doing it long enough. i have have built a boat , i think i did a good job , i followed the directions ( baring the ride pads i still have to put on after market) , i have the requested equipment and i have put enough power into it but i still am tweaking and dialing it in with the help of you guys ! it doesnt do it for me yet you know , i heard 35 40 mph is reachable with what i have , im just thankfull i got where i can blow by a nqd v-hull. its hard and a little expensive to just start doing it , i could have bought one of those and been ready to go man !(about $80.00 cheaper too !)
i guess what im trying to say is i see it both ways just my opinion.
