Hyperion duo ii firmware update question..................

    HYPERION DUO II UPDATE QUESTIONS.............

I just plugged in my Firmware wires Etc. to my laptop (windows 2000 Version)......

I downloaded (off the Hyperion site) what they recommended, and installed and ran everything Etc... Is it really THAT easy...green light stayed on the whole time.

Was I supposed to have the thing plugged into my Pyramid Power supply and running for this app. to take effect?

    BILLSoCal...Where are you...

Have not used this charger yet and don't want to screw up my $ Lipos... Still using my old Triton...FOR NOW!!

    Thanks,

    Kent

I'll be watching. I've had mine for several months now and haven't updated it yet.

I have an original DUO and updated twice. Make sure you followed the instructions STEP BY STEP.

you need to have the charger plugged for the changes take effect.

The update notes are all listed on the hyperion web site, and will be specific to model of charger that you have.

Guys.... All of the necessary infomation and documentation is on the Hypeion website.

These are the instruction for loading the driver sofware for the USB and a Firmware Guide

This is the link to the location of the software update for ALL DUO chargers

Below is text from the same page explaining the changes in each revision of the DUO2 Firmware. It looks like the latest and greatest is 1.30....

                      v1.30
                      * Same as v1.20, but removes LIPO MAC C setting from CH#2 User Setup.
Therefore CH#1 LIPO MAX C choice is now global for both ports, as described in v1.20 user manual.
                      v1.20
                      * Added LIPO MAX C setting under USER SETUP. Choices 1C~5C in 1C steps
                      * Modified FAN ON/OFF control to increase cooling under certain circumstances

                      Its all there...

                        You are Da man!!

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!!!! There is a specific time during the install that you power up the charger. If I remember correctly, you load the drivers to the PC for the USB, then install the update software to the PC, and then power up the charger....

Remeber my experience is with a DUO not the DUO2, but the process looks the same.

                        I'm OUT
                        Mike
