    ESC Connections

Hi, I am planning to buy the Hydrolift 1100 Kit from toughman racing in Korea.
Need some input on what power to use on this 43" twin cat. I am planning to use 2
Hydra 240 ESCs but need to know how you connect receiver leads from two ESCs
to one reciever. Also will run one lipo for each side. 6S or whatever is needed

O.S.E. sells a "Y" connector for your Hydras. Just connect the esc to each input and then the single output goes to the Rx's throttle port. As for the batteries if you plan to use the equipped bec you will only be able to run 3s, but since you want to use 6s for each motor you will need to disable the bec. As for the motors, I would run dual 8xl motors. But I'm also running a 6xl in my 22" hydro. Lots of people will tell you I have gone bonkers.

        Don't even consider running 8XL's off 6S. You'll fry everything. Rather 4S each or 10XL's off 5S.

Told ya someone would tell ya I'm nuts, and that's ok. I'm still trying to figure everything out myself in regards to motors, hull size, and props.

Hi Lomodel, Thanks, I have a couple of 2S1P 30C 4900 MAH that I could use
on an 8XL, one for each motor and esc. In that case I could get a couple of
Etti ESCs instead of the hydra 240. Let me know if this sounds right. Again
            thanks,

I'm running my Blackjack 26 on an 8xl, Octura x642 prop, 2x 4900 Mah 7.4v 2s batteries in series with an Etti 150 opto esc. so you should be fine with what you propose but try and run at around 14v instead of 7.2v. You'll get more speed out of it.

BTW: Lomdel Why can't you run 8xl's off of 6s?? Why would it fry everything?
