    Renagade Rigger

Can someone give me some details on a RR? I am on the fence about purchasing one but just can't decied. Do ya'll like them? Looks like the stock motor and castle 25 esc are not watercooled. What about run time and on what mah lipo? What non plastic prop is recommended, or should I stock up on 1 size plastic prop?
Thanks in advance for the help,
    Alvin

I love my renegade. x632is what I ran till egneg cut a V932/3 for me.
If you like a small boat that looks like a toy at the pond, then jaws drop when you squeeze the trigger, you'll love the Renegade too!

What kind of runtime do you get and is it watercooled?
      Thanks,

My renegade is the 1st of it's kind. She was Steve Elias's prototype. It's the very boat pictured on the OSE store & on the renegade rigger site. She is water-cooled, right sponson water pickup. I hope I didn't get her before Steve could decide on watercooling the kit? I'll post a picture for you.

I just finished building one and let me tell you...the thing is BALLISTIC!! You have got to get one!! Buy the kit with the motor and build it as square and true as you can with sharp edges on the sponsons...and don't rush the build...take your time! Buy some foam safe CA and Kicker (CA accelerator).

Anyone who has one will more than likely say it is one of their most favorite boats they have! Here are some pics...

Thanks so much for the info! Did you buy the OSE hardware package to complete the build? What esc did you use?
                Thanks,
                Alvin

Yes, I bought the OSE hardware pkg. for the Renegade. Also, you will need to buy the flex coupler that is offered on the hardware page (OSE). The ESC is a Castle Creations Phoenix 25. Hitec HS81 servo for steering and I am running a Pistix with the ESC because the Esc is an airplane type made for stick controls and I am using a pistol. OSE has the Pistix in the "new item" section.

Thanks you guys have been so helpful. Ya'll have given me more than enough info to buy this boat. I used the search feature last night and found tons of info as well. I guess I'll be posting my build thread soon.

I'm running the Caastle Phoenix 25 on a piston radio (JR XR3I) and I don't have a pistix. It is operating properly.

Alvin, that sounds great! I am curious as to your opinion of the build. If you have any questions, one of us here will be able to give you some good tips for sure. Diego has had alot of good input on the rigger for me. Let us know how it goes!
