    Hydra 120

Sorry to bother you, but I faced the following problem:

Got my Hydra120 and hooked it up to an SV motor with (here is the catch probably) a Futaba 3PM FM synthesised. I plug the (3cell lipo) battery and I hear a collection of different tone beeps (4-5) and when I hit the throttle the ESC led lights up and no response from the motor. Tried to calibrate it but it goes into programming mode...

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Do you have the throttle channel reversed on the radio? Futaba needs to have the throttle channel reversed. Do you have rudder control?

Hey Mike, I assume you are using this:

I know stupid question, but really helps if you don't have it. Especially if you need to reprogram - a good idea at this point.

No question is stupid and yes I have it. The pal that sold me the ESC told me that it was programmed to use 5S and I will use 4S so I would need to reprogram it anyway... I can't see why this is not allowing it to arm... I will try again EPAs and trims...

          Thanks a lot!!!

so you have reprogrammed it to your current set up?

Try taking a photo of the configuration, maybe there is something another pair of eyes can spot.

Not yet, I will when I go home. If everything else fails I will send a pic...

              Thanks again!

If it was programmed for 5s it won't rotate the motor when you use 3s. If you program it for 3s will be fine. Or if you plan to use it on 4s, program for 4s and test with 4s

Thanks for all the replies, programmed it for 4S and it works like a charm...

Now we need a good paintjob as the previous owner didn't pay any attention on the hull and I am ashamed to present it...

                  Thanks again pals...

Make sure not to use the bec with 4s lipos. Castle highly recommends against it.
