    Soldering batts together??

I'v got the Hydra 240, it has two sets of everything basically so Steve soldered me on some 6mm bullets all the way around. The red set of wires (battery side) has one female 6mm bullet (or male, not sure not by my boat right now) and the black wires have one male 6mm bullet (or vise versa). Can I solder the 2 red wires from my batts to a male bullet connector and the black wires to a female connector to plug difrectly into my ESC without having to make a "V" harness with a bunch of 6mm bullets on the batts?? If so, is it safe to charge both 2s packs as one 4s pack using just one balancer?? This is confusuing to me so I hope it makes sense to someone else out there .. thanks for the help!!

Are you wanting to run serial or parallel? Sounds like you want to turn 2 2S packs into 4S. In that case, you will be wiring it up in series. Wiring the way you described is parallel. I personally don't like to permanently marry packs to each other. If one fails, it's easier to unplug it and plug in another one.

For series, you would run the positive side of one battery (battery A) to the positive side of the ESC and the negative side of the OTHER battery (battery B) to the negative side of the ESC. You would connect the positive of battery A to the negative of battery B.
