    start up problem

    hello Guys;

    The boat I have is 32" long,and it is a mono hull.The motor is an feigao 8xl,the esc is a scorpion commander 15 volt series,110 amp,water cooled.I am running 2-2s1p 5600mah lipo's.The receiver is a sanwa rx-361 and the transmitter is a sanwa mx sport.I programmed the esc and when I try to kick it over all I get is a steady beeping sound and the steering jumps around.The procedure I use is;turn on transmitter,plug the batteries in and when I hold the throttle down it starts to beep and will not stop.I rechecked the programming and it looks ok.Would any one of you boat fanatics have any idea what the problem might be.
    Thanks Guys

    I am not familiar with that ESC or radio, but are you using a receiver pack? Does the receiver have BEC? Could be no power to the receiver.

    Otherwise it sounds like either the ESC programming is wrong, the transimtter settings are wrong, or the ESC is toast. Did the ESC ever work in another boat? Lots of potential issues, both simple and difficult.

      Fluid said it. Get a reciver pack and get the steering working first. My thought is you need pistix adapter but if steering being funny its more of radio receiver problem. isolate one thing at a time and you will get it.

        starting problems

        Hey guys;

        to answer the first question;this is a brand new esc w/programming guide.Very simple to setup.
        As for the receiver,I will get a new one tomorrow and give that a try.One thing about the transmitter;ya need to be a collage grad to fiqure it out I did check and found out that the esc works with trigger system.
        I will check the receiver out and possibly get a 2channel transmitter.The sanwa are to complicated.Like they say"keep it simple"
        Will let you know what happens. Thanks for your help
        Al

          Have you tried adjusting the throttle trim? Some esc's a pretty touchy on the throttle travel. Also, most esc's I have used require you to calibrate the throttle before programming anything else. Have you done that? The esc's I'm familiar with require you to hold full throttle while plugging in the battery....wait for some beeps, and then release the throttle...wait for some more beeps, and then the throttle is calibrated. THEN you do your programming for type of battery, number of cells, timing, pwm, etc.

          Good luck!
