    Data Analysis

    Hi
I'd like some help determining whats safe or dangerous data readings.
Im new to fe boating and have recently built a hydro and marine xzess evo 111 outrigger which is 33 inches long and is powered by a thunder power 5000 mah 30c 4s lipo,Neu 1515 1y ,castle creations hydra 240 esc amd i used an octura m447 prop.
    Here are the readings
    -low pak v 11.87
    High amps 126.58
    Total mah 3050
    High watts 1701
    Total run time 8 mins.
The battery, esc, motor temps were ok,Nothing over 40 Degrees c.
I have the esc timing advance programmed to low with a low voltage cutoff to 12.3 v
Is there a formula or chart to work out or compare different readings to different setups?
I have a million more questions about which timming advance settings to use on this set up and battery run times, props Etc.
But any wisdom or guidance would be terrific.
    Thanks in advance
    Matt

As a general rule Lipo cells shouldn't drop below 3 volts per cell to, in your case you shouldn't drop below 12v as your running 4 cells. They can cope with going down as low as around 2.7v but it isn't recommended. Your low voltage of 11.87 is fine as each cell is only around 2.96.

Your values seem right, my only question is about the 8mins run time. I guess it was not on full throttle for 8 mins, but some slowing down-acceleration-stop etc..If it were me I will keep this setup and do nothing more as everything is good.
You could try an X646 but don't know if suitable for these boats.
Regarding the ESC timing as a general rule it is better to keep it low. When you increase it you will probably see more speed but makes everything running much hotter. I don't know details about the timing but keep in mind to keep it low. Welcome to the forum!

        thanks gents
you are correct DISAR, the 8 mins run time was not all full throttle, but how do i know whats too high. is it because i'm using a 240 amp esc that any reading close to that would be considered too high?
where i plan to race they have 3 heats a day, sometimes 4. do you think it wise to buy another battery, rather than try to charge the one between races?
also there is no power at the pond i'll be racing at, what do you guys power your chargers with? a 12v battery or generator? and which do you recommend and size of either
        thanks

Keep your setup as it is. An extra battery is always recommended, and a 12V car battery can power the charger very well.
