    Diode question

I was told that a Shottky diode would protect my esc when installed on my 700 brushed motor. I was at Radio Shack and picked up a few, just wanted to make sure these would work - #1) 3 amps 200PIV or #2) 3amps 400PIV I wasn't sure exactly what to get, thought there would only be one choice...I matched these up with the picture on the the "tips and info" page, but couldn't see the numbering in the pictures. Thanks!

E-mail me your address. I will send you a few. I have HUNDREDS of them left from my RC-Hydros.com days.

Anybody else need some? Send a buck, I'll send you 10.

      Andy, thanks for the offer.

If the two I listed in my post will work, I have plenty (2 per pack) Do you think they will? I'm planning on installing in an hour or so if they are o.k. Want to get things set for this weekend! ----Rob

The ones I use are SB560. 60V, 5A. The 200V isn't going to protect anything in the ESC.
