    Thanks for that info Andy.
Maybe it's the balancer itself then. Perhaps you could point me in the right direction here.
All I can say is that without the balancer leads, plugs, adaptor board etc in circuit The packs take on a higher voltage & in a shorter time too.
I've also noticed that if say a 5000mah pack is put on charge with the charger set at 5A the actual readout, with balancer etc connected, only reads about 4.5A or 4.6A as the initial charge rate.
And yet, if I remove the balancer & charge through the main leads the charge rate goes up to the full 5A.
Also, the other night I was charging a 5000mah 3s pack with the balancer in circuit & the charge rate was down to 1.05 A after putting in about 2800mah.
    The pack was balanced.
I terminated the charge, removed the balancer from the circuit & continued the charge through the main power leads. I then noticed that the charge rate settled on 2.3A after starting at 2.9A.
I thought 1.05A to 2.3A was a pretty significant difference. I unfortunately didn't notice the voltage difference as I wasn't really conducting an experiment as such. The current discrepancy was just something I noticed.
I know the Swallow II is not the best charger on the planet, maybe that has something to do with it too. The balancer is an LCB-6C.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    All the best.
    Paul.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!
