Difference in a X and Y series prop

      The M series is also thicker than the X series, some people have commented that the M series - certainly out of the box, are not as good as a modified x series.

      You can de-tounge plastic props as well but it is only worth doing on a prop that has progressive pitch.

        I did it and had massive cavitation out of the hole....!

          A longer tongue helps when coming out of the hole. Post #8 shows how much to remove. How much of the tongue did you remove? Which prop and size of hull/weight/motor/cells are you using?

            It was just a stock plastic one :) SO no biggie, I already have the x642 but do not plan to detoungue it cuz I really dont wanna mess it up and I would not be able to balance it afterwards...
