Hmm, I didn't pay tax on the import to the US, is it different there?

yes it is a little different.
i can of course try and cheat the goverment. but offisialy there is 25% tax (or what you would call VAT i think) on the total price including shippment.

If I could have I would have, though I don't think it would do me any good to see any of his larger fleet first hand. It would be bad:-)

These are amongst the most expensive hulls, why don't you buy a cat from Aeromarine since you are on a tight budget? The Aeromarine hulls are very good and solid and a lot cheaper.

In addition if you want an Aeromarine hull you ask Steve here and he probably can get it fr you.

I don't know if you have the electronics (motor-esc-bats) but these will cost a lot as well for a dual motor setup. I bought the Sprintcat 40 which is 35" long plus all hardware and the NEU 1527/1Y for about 700$ here from OSE

my budget is around $1500 at the moment using KB motors.
i was planing on running with KB45`s to get some exsperiance with the realy fast cats. have a few cats now that is in the +/- 45-50 mph range. but from readin on here and other foruns there is a rather big difference between 50 and 70+ mph so im just taking it slow on the speed for now.

have a few etti 150 up to 7 cell lipo that would hopfully handle a KB on 6cells
