        It also is a 4400KV motor on 6s I believe it

          6s = 22.2 x 4400kv = 97680 x .80% = 78144kv spinning a x42mm prop...extremely unlikely.

            I see no reason why it could not go 50 mph. It is a flat bottomed boat, and while the motor never got to 80,000 rpm it could have gone 50 easily for a single SAW pass. An x442 (or was it an x642?) only has to spin around 32,000 rpm to hit 50 mph. The setup is all wrong, too high a Kv for 6S, but it could have done it. The rigging looks pretty solid. The guy has sold a lot of boats and has 100% pos feedback. I vote yes for 50 mph.

              I agree. But have to wonder how long the lipo's or esc will last at a motor running at only 40% efficiency?

                Heck. Just come back to OSE and buy a new motor should that one breaks.

                  Whoever picks this up needs to get a little higher amp ESC he said he is running a 120amp Brushless with a 130amp ESC. It always better to have a little more le way than that.

                    When I go out and buy stuff for my planes, cars, heli's, or boats, I make sure that the max amp draw of the motor can be handled easily by making sure the esc and batts are rated at 50% more at least. So in that case I'd get a minimum of a 180amp ESC or greater. Just ny two cents
