    Hydro COG

A friend wants to build a hydro but I know nothing about them. Where is the COG?
I think just back of the sponsons but not sure.

There is no hard and fast answer, as the design of the boat and the type of propeller you want to use will determine where the CG should be. Is this a sport hydro or outrigger? A sport hydro will have space to move stuff around to balance the boat, an outrigger may not.

A good starting point would be .5"-1" behind the sponson transom. Run it, then adjust to your liking.
