    Need a new ESC

When I fired up the CEN Aqua Jet this spring the boat barely moved, idled at best. I thought the motor was on the fritz so I replaced the 775 Motor with OSE 700SC Super Charged motor. I was surprised this weekend when the I got the same results. I now plan to replace the ESC. I kind of need to keep the cost down due to some unexpected costs I have incurred on my RC Truck after a few rough weekends of beating on my truck.

Is the Jeti Navy 600 Water Cooled ESC going to be good ESC for me? I was really trying to keep the cost under $75 verses spending the $100 on the Rc Hydros Victory 10-32 cell esc.

Currently I am running the standard blue CEN ESC, 2 4300 MAH 6 cell batteries & now the 700SC Super Charged motor.

The jeti 600 is a great speed control, its tough and reliable, Ihave had no problems with mine, i have even taken out 3 700 motors and it works fine still, I just picked up a victory and my boat seems to perform a little better though, but for under 75 bucks you cant beat the jeti.

I think you'll probably find that the Victory line of ESCs has less internal resistance, so you'll see more voltage at the motor, which would translate into a better running setup... they are also fully water-proof...

For the money, it's near impossible to get a better brushed ESC than the RC-Hydros... It's an extra $25.00 that you'll never miss...

That being said, I think either ESC would work for your application... Plenty of people use the Jetis with good success...

          Diode

I didn't have a diode on my 775 motor and I do not have on installed on my new super charged motor so I will do that when I order my ESC.

          Thanks

I need some help... Newly purchased Jeti Not working after install

I wired up my new Jeti ESC and I get nothing, no response, when I turn on the receiver.

I wired up the ESC to the motor, making sure to check the pos/neg wires, which I have rechecked again.
I wired up the ESC to the battery using a new Tamiya connector I picked up from a LHS.
I plugged in the standard J wire into the receiver box
Up to this point I believe I have followed the Jeti Instructions.

Per the instructions there is virtually no set up, set the receiver to 'brake' turn your receiver on and you should hear a beeb and the setup is done correctly. If you hear multiple or continuous beebs then the setup is not correct. Well I do not get any beebs or sounds.

I checked my batteries and they have a full charge, I then hooked up my old ESC that was malfunctioning to see if that worked thinking maybe my newly soldered connection to my Tamiya Battery connector was bad or maybe the bullet connectors I used weren't wired correctly. My old ESC works (not a lot of power - thats why I replaced it) but I get power to the motor. The only difference in the connectors on my Jeti are that the females going to the motor are the blue bullet connectors from Home Depot. The motor leads coming from the motor are red standard bullets that came with the Aqua Jet, I had these lying around so I used them since the fit is nice and snug. I would think even though those connectors are different that I would get some type of beeb from the ESC.

Is there something wrong with my installation or could there be something wrong with the Jeti?
