When Lipos are over discharged, charged, or happen to have a bad cell that failed cell will actually become inflated. Just like a ballon. That "puffy" cell is no longer savable.

Rick I will let teach do the talking and the picture will show you exactly what he is talking about...

This pack was so puffed that I had to cut the f/g hull to get it out of my Xzess 2. The hull is repaired but nothing will save the pack.

Just 1 and it was in my Xzess 2 on a 1515 1.5y. Just the battery died and no other damage.
The big damage followed when I lost 2 x 3s packs and a Barra 120. Some damage to the hull on that occasion but it is repaired now. All my own fault. There was a class from a college there and they were excited by the speed of the boat. The next thing I am doing laps with a boat I should just do SAW runs with. The price of showing off can be expensive.

A pin is no good Rick but Andym told me to run a wooden stake through it's heart.

                1.5Y 1500 Kv = 33,000rpm.
Steven has them rated at 1500kv

Save your puffy cells for July 4th!

I take that back, I see you're in BC. Make it July 1st instead!
