Some bad luck with my motor

Took my boat out today and the first time I ran it seemed really slow and I brought it in. The motor would not turn and later on I noticed that one of the wires had some burnt strands on a wire. Has anyone heard of this happening on the SV27 motor? Is this something that I can fix myself or should I get Aquacraft to fix it? After going over it ,the wire looked to be the weak point in the motor. It looks like it is only about 16 gauge wire.

If the outside shielding is burn, the inside windings are probably burnt. Is this a new sv boat you are running?

If the motor won't turn at all, the usual reason is a thrown/broken magnet. Then the wiring burns. The wiring is not a weak point of that motor, it is large enough for the intended use. A thrown/broken magnet is caused by over-heating the motor, over-reving the motor on the bench, a faulty job of attaching the magnets, or a cracked magnet. Remember, this is not a $250 Hacker motor, it is a cheap Chinese clone. It works well, but it is not bulletproof.
