Oil bearings on a brushless motor?

Is it necessary to oil the bearings on a brush less motor?

It depends. If the bearings are sealed then oiling does no good (and no harm either). However, most of the BL motors use unsealed bearings, so oiling is needed. Just a drop on each bearing before each day of running.

Use a good quality oil, NOT 3-in-1 or other such cheap oils. Marvel Mystery Oil works very well, as do the various hobby oils for bearings (not the oils for bushings, there is a difference). I'd steer clear of the various Teflon oils, although some swear by them. Others swear at them......

No sir. They are sheilded, but not sealed.
