How abut SV power in a rigger?
Anyone have links to great looking and performing Riggers?

    Thanks

      Brushless.
Never checked the speed with the SV motor, but yes around 40. It's got the Ammo 2300 in it now & does 45mph & it does feel a bit quicker than the SV package.
As for a rigger, I don't know. I've never built one.
      Cheers.

This rigger is a very good package for the sv power system.

I'm in the process of building one now...actually on the painting stages currently. Great kit! I'm going to be running the UL-1 motor/ESC combo in mine. Also would like to get a SV motor and see which of the two I like better. Here's some pics...

Mean Machine, if you search in the mean machine treads there is one with a SV27 motor, I do not remember the esc though.

Ok found it, here you go. It is the one of ICE329. You will need a strut though and maybe a rudder.

Today I ran my Rigger Insanity using the SV27 motor/esc combo. The prop that I used was a Octura m445. Speeds were around 40-45mph. I am sure the Octura m645 would be slightly faster.

                Hey detox!

Nice! I have an M645 for my Insanity. I was told that it would be a great prop to use with my setup. Good to hear that from you too! Mine should be finished soon. Just got my micro Renegade ready for action...

The large m645 will probably damage your stock UL-1 ESC. The UL-1 combo likes to spin high so without ESC damage I would use either a Grimracer L40 X 57/3, Grimracer L38 x 55, or Octura m440. For some reason the SV 27 combo will handle larger props better without harm to ESC, but SV motor also spins a little slower than UL-1 motor.

If you do use that m645 prop with the UL-1 combo and your boat dies all of a sudden on water then you know why...

Thanks for that info detox! If I were to use the SV 27 motor and the UL-1 ESC, would I be ok running that prop (m645)? I am all ears...

I think maybe it would be best to use the sv 27 esc with the sv 27 motor (different timing than UL-1). Be sure to upgrade to better motor/esc bullet connectors because the thin stock connectors will melt at soldered joint

Would a 33" mono with my stock motor esc and hardware from my SV27 be ok?

still cannot decide what I want to get.

that seems to be a versatile hull, I've seen it set up a lot of different ways, not sure if the SV27 setup would work. just a thought.

                            Ok, thanks jingalls007..
I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this with the hardware and try my SV27 motor and esc..
any quess on the speed I could get with the SV motor?
I'm thinking 40-45mph? and much more stable than my SV

The Mean Machine will handle 1000x's better then the SV. I didn't like my SV at all so im a little biased. 40-45mph? I don't know, maybe. Start there and work your way up. then get a Tunrigy 180a controller with one of those new Medusa motors and really let it rip, mid 50's in that hull looks pretty fun. Im building the same boat right now actually, it's a sprint cat but identical bottom as the mean machine. Steve has them in stock right now to for 155.00 which is great cause Aeromarine's prices just went up a bit, i'd buy one now if i were you before they go.

What motor are you going to run in your cat?
we need to hook up and run these and see how they do.
