    4s1p vs 4s2p

I am looking at some new lipos for a 4s rigger being built. Going to run
    neu 1515 1y on 4s. I have a choice budget wise, of a 4s2p 4000mah 25c lipo, OR
    4s1p 5000mah 20c lipo.
Now..I know the 4s2p lipo being 25c, and 4000mah can handle 100amps. as well as the 4s1p 20c 5000mah, being able to handle 100amps. I should be running comfortably under this amp pull with the neu, and x637-640 prop. (guessing around 80 average amp pull)
Opinions between these 2 lipo setups would be greatly appreciated. As they are the exact same price...I am just not sure which would be better.....

I am a fairly experienced builder...with about 11 hulls under my belt. and have always run 1p....I mainly run 6s1p in my hulls. but the rigger that this setup will go into is a narrow nose tub, sgx type of hull...so it will be a snug fit. which is why I am going 4s. with a neu 1515 1y.

Let me hear your thoughts about the differences and or benefits of 1p versus 2p. experienced boaters.

    Thanks
    Patrick

I am not sure about this but it looks like they're dimensions would be the only concern.

The dimensions are similar width wise....but the 1p is much longer and the 2p is squattier. but both would fit in my rigger.

Pick the higher quality cells, which would likely be the 1P. That will also give longer run time, and a higher amp burst. 2P is an advantage when you need to increase the total safe amp draw for higher power setups (easier on the battery and ESC), or for longer run times. In this case, it is neither.

Thanks guys for the replies. Yes..I have seen the 30c flightmax....flightmax 5000 mah 4s1p was actually one of the lipos I was talking about.
Woudln't then the 2p being able to handle more current etc...even though it is rated at the same as the 1p....? It seems the 2p lipos would be more efficient.?

How are those Flightmax? I just picked up 4 2s1p 4900mah rhinos per recomendation of jesse-j who recomended them. For us sport runners there is no need to break the bank on other lipos when we have these kinda options.

                Thanks guys...for the info.
in answer to your question about The flightmax, they are relabeled Zippy-H. If I am not mistaken. In my opinion, the zippy-h are the best lasting/performance lipo unitedhobbies sells. I also run Rhino lipos in my 1/8th buggy(also zippy, just relabeled...and I read that rhino replaced the loong max line of lipos from unitedhobbies) and they are great! The only thing about rhinos is they are a lot longer than zippy-h or zippy-r. Zippy-r have a hell of a punch, but they won't last long....especially in a boat pulling major amps. price of rhino lipos just went up recently, as zippy-h and flightmax seem to still be almost identical in price.

Any more thoughts from you lipo brainiacs on 4s2p vs 4s1p before I purchase the powertrain for my new rigger? In my 6s setups being high voltage and low kv allow me to never have pulled even more than 70 amps. But with the 4s setup..it will be much hotter...so actualy numbers from amps pulled using neu 1515 1y, and 4s2p or 1p would be appreciated.
                Thanks
