    the mean machine lives!

i finally have a solid set up. thanks steve for the free cells to put together my packs.the e power 4500 are awesome. 12 are faster than 14 tenergy3800. my meanmachine is running 9xl, hydra 120 spinning a x445. i may change to a m series or 545 or 642.

jesse ,i dont have any way of telling for sure. i am guessing mid thirties.she hooks up really well.and dont slow in tight turns. so i think i can raise the strut., i have ran 3-4 mins using between 2500 to 3000 mah

I trimmed my 5" Speedmaster rudder down by 1.25". I don't have too much stick time on my MM but today I was shaking down the new 10xl/Etti set up and was running around 35 mph with a X640. She was carving nice tight turns without skidding but on the back stretch I don't know if I cranked the rudder too hard or what but she caught an inside edge and flipped over on her back. Water was pretty calm with only a slight ripple. Was this the dreaded hook I have read about??? Do I need to replace the rudder I trimmed down.

Was your rudder vertical or kicked back a little? I have the Speedmaster 21 vertical and/or kicked back a little and turns very nice even at full throttle. NEU 1512/2D, 4s2p, 442,ETTI 150. Maybe also you turned too much, did it make like U turn?

Nope, She was full throttle down the back straight and I just gave her a little adjustment to the right. I did a few full throttle U turns right in front of me and she turned real nice. Much tighter than on a race course. When she flipped, it looked like something tripped her up.
