    Lipo mAh questions

    Hi guys. I'm not too sure about this mAh thing, and i do need your help with some infos. Currently, i am running lipo series setup with 2s1p 7.4v 5000mAh 25C, or 3s1p 11.1v 5000mAh 25C in a 32" cat. with 9XL motor and 125 ETTI amp esc, prop x642.... My question is. What are other mAh options i can use with this setup? Can i start at 4000mAh, or how about 7.4v 8000mAh 2s1p 25C in series?

    The more you have the better. I do not understand what is your running voltage 4s1p or 6s1p? Anyway the more mah and C you can afford the better. Do not go below 4000 mah and 20-25C

      I have two sets of lipos. Just wanting to know what are my other mAh options.
      2x 2s1p 7.4v 5000mAh 25C series = 4s2p 14.8v
      2x 3s1p 11.1v 5000mAh 25C series = 6s2p 22.2v

        With the packs you have now you would have to run them in parallel. and you would just double your mAh. but volts would be that of a single pack.

        2x 2s1p 7.4v 5000mAh 25C parallel = 2s2p 7.4v 10000mAh
        2x 3s1p 11.1v 5000mAh 25C parallel = 3s2p 11.1v 10000mAh

        or get two 4cell packs and two 6cell packs and run them in parallel. Not sure what kinda volts you need for your application. hope this helps a little.

        one more thing that should help

          9XL under 6S on a 32" cat might be a bit too much, a 11XL is more appropriate unless you want a SAW setup, 4S is better for the 9XL, not enought rpm's for speed though!
          if the 2S and 3S pack are the same brand you might want to try a 5S setup, 2S+3S in serie this will be better than 6S for the 9XL

            I've done that. The lipos were different brand though but similar mahs and C. I had 2 2s and 2 3s, and connected them in 5s2p.

              These are not correct. 2x2s = 4s1p (The 4s2p is 2x4s)
              2x3s = 6s1p (The 6s2p is 2x6s)

                  It's slightly different stated, and it doesn't say that 2 x 2s in series is 4s1p and not 4s2p,does it? I just want to clarify the difference in 1p and 2p.
