    Lipo video

Looks like some fun until the middle of the video where I see the guys(and kids!) are about 10-15 feet away from the explosion. My fatherly instinct(and common sense) tells me I don't want to be that close to a small bomb!

The safe would have handled all of that. But not the smoke damage or anything that would have been ignited from the vents. So what now? buy fire board for backing in the charge area??? Where does it end?

These guy's are jerks they are purposly blowing the Lipos up...and the funny sad part about the jerks doing it is they are all around the packs laughing with there kids even there when they blow up and they are breathing in Ion wich is very bad to breath in and deadly...this is why you should charge lipos in a vented area....

I don't believe what people do it's just messed up.

Ive personally destroyed nimh batts (not on purpose) but they can be just as dagerous. Not with lipo which are a explosion and probly make noise when they go the nimh just slowly and quietly melted leaking acid and all. Take care of your stuff and when something looks like it could lead to bad it will. I think these batts are great and when im flying heli's Im more worried about what I might hit rather than will my batterys blow.

The reason for the post was more about the guys shooting the video and watching than the dangers of lipo. But your right anythings dangerous.

              Lipow batteries

There are new people joining the forum all of the time. I think it is good for them to see the dangers of lipowi/nimh batteries. I would hate to hear about someone getting hurt or losing property on here.
