I'm pretty sure you're looking for around 3000-3300kv since you'll only be running 2s, hopefully 2s2p.

    As per Brian Buaas' recommendations:
    N2 Mono 24-27”
    2S2P
    8500-10k

    Competition
    1515/0.5Y
    Hydra-120

    Sport
    1512/1.5D
    Hydra-120
    Octura x438

Or a Feigao 8L or 9L as well. Might be able to use a 6XL with a larger prop.
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

      I use 2S2P - 10,000 -1515/0.5Y For N2 mono already.

This is too hot of a setup for a 4:00 min. race
I am looking for a Offshore setup.

        Ah Si Senor....

Would not the Sport setup as recommended above satisfy this? Or still too hot?
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

I won N2 OS running a 1515/1.5D with a big prop in a DF 26. The 1512/1.5D in the same boat the year before.

You should have seen them, Steven... Freaking rockets...

I was running a 1512 1.5D (3200KV) in my 26" Darkhorse Mono... Pretty fast, but could've used more torque...

For a while now I have been wondering why we in Europe use higher KVs than you guys in the states for classes of the same voltage, our 2 cell monos run for 6 minutes on 5000mah and would use a 4-5000kv long 28mm or short 36mm motor, I can see why you use bigger motors as even for offshore with 4mins on 2s2p you have 3 times the power available, and for sprints up to 12 times the power or whatever your ESC can handle, but with all that power on tap I would have thought you would run much higher KVs than us, Strangely for some reason it's the other way round, same goes for hydros where from what I've read over there a 2000kv 8XL is a decent budget motor and over here we would use a 2700kv 9-10L or 6XL, you must be using much bigger props to get the amps up, but can anyone explain why you don't go for more revs on props only a little bigger to compensate for the heavier motor/2p?
