Sonson motor-mount for twin drive cat

Anyone found a ready made motor mount for mounting in the side sponsons of a cat for a twin drive set-up? All the usual mounts require either a flat bottom or stringers, but we have neither of these in the sponsons. I saw a lot of homemade stuff on this forum, was just wondering if I could save some time and have something purpose-made...

I haven't seen anything purpose made! I think it would be hard to do because of the shape of the sponsons vary boat to boat!

Maybe someone could come up with a mount that you could sand/grind/dremel to fit!

Go grab a handful of your kids playdoe and make a 1/2" patty and then form it and bring it out and cut whtever you are using. You can use clay as well.

Thanks for the replies guys! When I eventually get my twin cat project up and running, I think I'll use a thick piece of lexan or CNC-cut a piece of aluminium to fit.

Peter , I haven't got the hull for this project of mine yet, it'll probably be the H&M Agitator or its knock-off cousin. Why, do you have something in mind? I know you are an excellent manufacturer...

Any chance that you could put a price on two of those? The support for the stuff tube seems a good idea. What are the dimensions? Would the mounts fit a 540 size motor?
