What to join?

Hey guys,
After getting a taste of the racing action this weekend, I want to start racing. I've made some laps but never in competition or with 5 other boats. I enjoyed watching and I'm sure driving is more rewarding.

My question is, is there any advantage to joining the IMPBA or NAMBA? Any perks or limitations?

I know my prospective club accepted both at the recent race. I just want to be able to run both FE and LSG.

If you are in Louisiana I would bet the clubs down there are mostly IMPBA.

It looks like the club you visited must have been a IMPBA club.
