    Need help: Lipos bat

Hey guys. My set up for this 32"cat is: 9XL Feigao motor, 125amp ETTI esc running with x642 prop. Yesterday, i ran it with 3s2p 2200mAh 25C lipos in series. The cat ran well, but lipos were a HOT to the touch than i'd like. My question is should i get 2X 5000mAh 2s1p 20C or 2X 5000mAh 3s1p 25C lipos? Thanks in advance guys.

Yours are only only good for around 55 Amps and with your set up, those LiPos were under stress. What brand were they?

    Try these.

at least try with your actual pack in parallel, it might not be as fast as it is but quiet punchy though!

If I am reading this correctly the initial hot run was 2200mah batteries with 6s voltage. ?? (a pair of 3s2p 2200's in series) From FeCalc - that setup is drawing around 100amps, so I wonder how the batteries survived.

2x of 3s1p 5000 25c batteries might be ok assuming you believe the ratings.

2x of 2s1p 5000 20c batteries with that setup will draw 60 amps according to FeCalc, so it is well within the battery rating - just not as fast.

Or did I misread - and it was running on 3s power with 2200mah batteries? From FeCalc the 3s combination would be a bit over 40 amps.

I had just finished charging the lipos. They are fine.

Yea, i ran a pair of 11.1v 25c ( 3s2p 2200mAh ) in series for about 5 minutes. It was HOT, but no smokes yet.

              So, the sugestion would be 2x 2s2p 7.2v 5000mAh ?
