    Opinons on A123 batteries

    Who has used the A123 batteries and what are their opinions on them. Are they truly a 30C battery like they claim. I remember reading on the forums when they first came out that they could not handle the Amp draw that boats require. Will we start to see their prices drop now that their cells are going to be hybrids. I also see that they updated their website.

    I dont run them But I know guys that do in planes and helli's pulling 60 plus amps and they just love them. for big amp draw there the only way to go.

      For boats... 60amps is NOT "big amp draw"...

      Tests on these cells have shown that they fall FAR short of their specs... They are not even on the same playing field as a good set of TB or PolyRC Lipos...

      They are great batteries... for your power tools...

      Actually... I think they'd be great for sport running as well...

        Darin is right, Sport running or Scale boats.
        On another note, if you take them to the basement they will never come up.

          The most appealling part was being able to charge them in 15 minutes. They would be great when I am running all day and I want to have fun.
