Coupling two motors on 1 shaft attempt #52

I feel really good about this one, it might even make it into a boat lol, hughey gearbox, butchered up by yours truly with a dremel, two 800s on a 2-1 overdrive. Keep in mind, one of these motors will push an EV over 42mph with 12 cells. Ive been stoked before with the potential, but this time its right around the corner!

Thats got to produce an insane amount of torque! What hull do you plan to put it in?

Nice mod. :) I strongly suggest that you find a way to support the endbell ends of those heavy motors - the front gear plate will bend under their weight and cause gear alignment issues. I hope you're planning on using at least 3/16" flex cable with those big motors!

Plan change, back to 700s for the moment. there just wasnt enough metal left to hold the 8s, so here is the 700 version.

Mount is a monster truck upgrade for the emaxx, gears are hughey, shaft and collets are parts from a electric helo, bearings boca. Need to notch the mount for more motor adjustment, and move the jack shaft bearing back about an inch sounds sweet on the bench!!

I am impressed Dooz. You are going to be able to push one hell of a big boat with that setup.
