SV Brushless System in Titan 29

Hi, I just installed this and having problems with interference. Once I arm the
ESC the motor and steering servos will go on wihtout touching the TX. Should
I use an RX pack and if I do how do I disable the BEC on the SV ESC. Or can I use
the RX pack without disabling the BEC on the ESC. Thanks as this is my first try at
    brushless.

    Hi Norman,

Do you have any control of the ESC/Motor or servo ?

What Radio are you using ?

Hi Jimmy, Yes I have control of both but when I let go of the pistol grip and

        Norman,

By what you have told me I highly doubt that it has anything to do with the Aqua Craft system,

Has the reciever ever had water on it ?

Where is the receiver located in the boat ?

Hi Jimmy, No it has never been wet. It is located near the transom opposite the
servo. I will try an RX pack to test. Again thanks for your kind help.

If you use a Rx pack, disconnect the center (red) wire from the ESC to the Rx. If you don't want to disfigure the ESC, you can buy an inexpensive 6" servo extension and remove the middle wire from that.

I don't know if that will cure your glitches, but using a Rx pack is a good idea.

Thanks for your help. Will follow your advice and see if it works with an RX pack.
              Thanks again

A RX pack will not solve your problem. It sounds like a frequency/crystal issue

What the OP describes is not uncommon with many cheaper radios; if the transmitter is too close to the boat the receiver can buzz the ESC and servos. If the OP moves the transmitter ten feet away from the boat, the problem should stop. If it does not then there is something else wrong.

Thanks again for your help. Followe Mtgoat's advice. Disabled the red lead
on a 6" extension. Installed RX pack and the problem is solved. No more
glitches, works perfectly. The radio has always worked when I had the 700 SC
and Astro flight 212D ESC. Anyway fixed and happy. Thanks to all of you for
your inputs. By the way I even got one more minute of run time. Up to 5 1/2
                    minutes.
