    bj26 outdrive change

I'm not sure how to search the forum but I'm sure it's there. I want to change the outdrive but need some guidance on the hardware needed. I have looked at the fuller stuff but was wondering what other people have done. The offset rudder just looks weird so I was thinking of something in line unless the offset thing is no big deal. I will use the old steerable outdrive on another boat so it's time to make a decision. Thanks for any input, Brian

Offset rudder is more adapted toward running right turn ovals, left turns are a little harder. A inline rudder will turn equally as well both left and right.

Check here also, they sell a conversion kit, scroll down to find it:

Also a inline rudder is a pain in the A#$e when you have to regrease your shaft after every run, because the rudder gets in the way. i used a solinger hardware, it is a little different to the fullers but works great.
