Are what the fiberglass that people put inside the boats the sheets that I saw at my LHS? If so what has to be done to put them in the boat?

The cloth is better for deepvees. It will add lots of strength. The hobby shop should have everything you need to get the job done.

The cloth comes in different weight/thickness. The good shop will have some different choices.

I used the fine weave cloth when I repaired the side of my SV. In retrospect the thicker matt prolly would have been easer to work with. Try the great planes medium weave. You can also buy glass in plate form not unlike carbon fiber. I would not suggest using it where you need a good fit. In your situation it should conform to the bottom as snug a possible.

I bought the medium weave at the LHS. It worked pretty well. I will get pictures up later on.
