    Kinda OT... USPS shipping rates

    Sorry, but I gotta vent!!!

I just got back from the Post Office and the rates for sending boxed items IS OUTRAGOUS!!!!!

Has anyone done any comparison between USPS, UPS, and FedEx? Are all of the rates comparible for identical packages?

    Thanks
    Mike

UPS gives insurance and sometimes bettor tracking but on the other hand USPS is far bettor with overseas shipping. Its a toss-up. I dont mess with fed-ex. Their nearest station is almost an hour away.

Shipping something large by USPS priority has more than doubled in the last 2 years. For example a supervee 27 shipped ups ground to Florida is about $15-$20, by USPS priority its at least double that. Approximate arrival time is about a day more by UPS ground. BUT now compare UPS 2nd day and ExpressMail. Expressmail is faster(most times 1 day, sometimes 2) but about 2/3rd's the cost of UPS 2nd day in most instances.
