    Best prop for cat

    Hi Guys,
    I'm just curious to know what is the best prop for a cat, x4 or x6
    Setup is 29" cat 580 6xl motor 4s lipo..

    what esc are you going to run. that motor is going to pull alot of amps, so you will have to keep the prop fairly small. you might want to think of a 8 or 9 xl instead.

      it's a hydra 240 and the kv of the motor is 2150. I'm running a x440/3 at the moment. Just want to know if i'm in the right track or should i be looking at a x6 series prop?

        X6 probably a bit too much pitch for that set-up, but you could try it as well as a M545, just check the temps regularly, especcially if you plan to race. Races last longer and the setup should rather be slower, cool and safe than fast, hot and on the edge...

          I have a skunkworks cat. I used to run a 9XL with a X637 prop with a Hex 120 ESC. Just swapped out a 8XL and a CC120 ESC on 4s1p. Haven't run it yet.
